Job Summary
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all payables are fully accounted, recorded and paid on time. He or she monitors the outflow of cash through weekly preparation and releasing of checks vis a vis departmental budget utilization. Assists in the preparation of expanded withholding taxes, Input-taxes including remittance of the same.
Maintain subsidiary ledgers of vendors and prepare aging reports in a timely manner.

Core Functions
1. Payable Accounting
a. Checks accuracy and completeness of Request for Payment (RFP)submitted by the respective departments
b. Records and prepares accounts payable vouchers in the accounting system
c. Ensures correctness of entries in the accounting system
- Cash Flow Administration
a. Monitors payments thru weekly bank reconciliation
b. Ensures regular posting of payments and resolves open issues with the vendors
c. Prepares cash outflow forecast and updates reports every Mondays
d. Prepares monthly aging report due no later than Sth day of the month
e. Ensure disbursements are budgeted
f. Ensures remittance of all statutory contributions and taxes
- Accounting Administration
a. Maintain and update vendor records both electronic and physical copies
b. Monitor timely submission of monthly utilities billing from PMO
c. Performs monthly bank reconciliation
d. Prepares Input VAT schedules and EWT.
- Budget Monitoring
a. Ensures disbursements are within the approved budget
b. Prepares departmental expenses reports vs Budget, determine variance, if any
c. Raise issues with department heads on how to address
d. Other assignments that may increase knowledge, under breadth of experience, and build on values of team members.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's / College Degree in Accounting
- At least 0-1 year of experience in real property development or related field
- Critical thinker with good analytical skills; able to ask the right questions to uncover real issues and able to use information effectively to predict outcome.
- Good reasoning ability: able to solve business issues
- With customer service experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Computer literate
