Job Summary
The Shift Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical operations of the building during their assigned shift. This role ensures that building facilities, equipment, and operational standards are consistently met, providing technical support, supervising maintenance activities, and coordinating with the Property Manager for reporting and system improvements.

Core Functions
Major Responsibilities
a. In-charge of the technical operation of the property during his shift.
b. Responsible for receiving, recording, and distributing work orders and making necessary priorities, project orders to be forwarded to the Property Manager.
c. Responsible for receiving the log reports from the Shift Technician, giving possible comments, and forward to the Property Manager.
d. Responsible for keeping the Property Manager informed without delay of progress, reports, and complaints.
e. Ensures that all parts of the building comply with the existing design and standard and local code requirements.
f. Establishes air-conditioning comfort cooling, sufficient lightning to the tenants and common area property.
g. Assists all project and sub-contracted preventive maintenance contractors.
h. Checks the availability of critical spare parts of the building and advises the Property Manager accordingly.
i. Updates the Property Manager for the monthly reporting to CI management on the status of the building and equipment.
j. Assists the Property Manager in the preparation of building material purchases, monitoring of ongoing building projects and capital expenditures.
k. Checks all as-built plans, equipment folder, database or facilities manuals of equipment and operating manuals are intact for reference and for annual inspection done by the City Engineer.
l. Responsible for keeping the equipment history file up to date.
m. Responsible for the cleanliness throughout the assigned area.
m. Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Property Manager.
n. And other assignments from the Executive Office that may increase knowledge, widen breath of experience and build on values of team members.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Licensed Engineer (preferably Mechanical / Electrical), preferably male
- Preferably with construction experience, and have been assigned to a green-certified building
- With minimum 5-year experience in Property Management
- With knowledge on how to do technical audit
- Preferably with experience in testing and commissioning of equipment
- With knowledge in FDAS and FirePro system
- With knowledge in operation of building equipment & machineries
- With DENR PCO training
- With knowledge in preparing engineering reports and analysis of utilities consumption
- Can lead MST personnel
- Familiar with fit out guidelines and house rules
- Willing to be assigned in a shifting schedule
